Notes:
1. The first and last few weeks were training nights to brush up on Scouting skills for two competitions. We had the Mark Sutton at the end of January (tests Map & Compass, Knots, First Aid Incident, Inspection, Quiz and Cooking) and the Scout Rally/Maurice Pass Pioneerng weekend (two competitions. The Scout Rally tests fire lighting, orienteering, tent pitching, outdoor first aid while the Maurice Pass Pioneering Trophy sets a pioneering challenge each year. This year it was a raft building race)
2. This program was completely planned and run by the Patrol Leaders themselves (well.. except for the fact that much of the 'teaching' of the badgework had to be done by the leaders. What I mean is they plan and execute the program..that does not mean they have to teach and assess the badges).
3. The Fun Night was suggested and run by the Scouts (and extended to the Cub section too). They played what they wanted. Many brought in a playstation and dance mats.
