Notes
1. This years Pack Holiday was unusual. Due to poor take up of the event (and the building and coach did not come cheap) we decided to allow Scouts to attend too. We had roughly equal numbers of Cubs and Scouts and tried as much as possible to keep them seperate. Although we did similar themed work obviously the Cubs and Scouts were kept in different levels and groups. We did eat and go out together and play most games together. Overall this didnt cause many problems...perhaps importantly because most of the leaders were used to running Cubs AND Scouts. There were some differences. For instance, come night time we played a late night game together. Then the Cubs would stay in and play indoor games or watch a video before being sent off to bed. Meanwhile the Scouts were taken down the road (we stayed in a County Park which closed at 9. So after 9 we had the whole country park to ourselves. After making a little noise late at night on the field by the building they received a complaint from a local farmhouse so for the rest of the week we walked half a mile down into the country park to play our late night games) for games, jokes, talking and ghost stories. Often until late.. And I mean late (think latest was just gone 2 in the morning!)
