How to tie a Stopper Knot
![Stopper Knot Stopper Knot](../img/knots_stopperknot_002.jpg)
Give yourself plenty of rope at the working end. Take the working end around two fingers and then over itself (to make a round turn).

Carry on making a series of at least five turns around your fingers and over the standing part.

Now turn your hand over and tuck the working end inside the turns and pull it all the way through.

Pull the knot tight. You may have to work it into shape and make sure the turns lie neatly side by side.
