Notes:

1. This camp had a new idea by the leaders. It was a challenge camp. Each patrol were given a set number of tokens (say 50 -100). Every time they had to ask for help, ask for a piece of equipment, failed a challenge, did something wrong, had a problem with their site during inspection it cost them tokens. Any tokens left at the end of the camp were going to be converted into pounds for the Scouts to take home. Challenges were set from the challenge list that can be found in the downloads area of this site.

It was a brilliant camp! The scouts loved it. Here are some of the many notable moments:

The PL who put down, and got, 4 potato peelers on their equipment list but didnt have potatoes on the menu or over the entire weekend!

The two patrols who forgot the tin openers on their equipment list (lose a token)

The patrol who put down gas cooker but forgot to put down gas on their equipment list (ohh.. that quartermaster eh?).. (lose several tokens or eat cold food)

The scout who said "Akela, Ill give you two tokens if you hold this spoon and stir the beans", "Why cant you do it ?" she replied, "because Baggy is going to chase me!".. he handed the tokens, Akela stirred the beans and I chased and caught him and tickled him to within an inch of his life for some earlier joke.

It was a brilliant weekend and it really taught them important skills and how to plan and execute a program and menu. In the end only one patrol had 2 tokens left at the close of the event, and instead of taking home two pounds they gave them to Mr T to take their Patrols rubbish bag with him as he went down to drop the other rubbish off!
